Marisa realizes she keeps hearing Congresswoman Erika Schweiker’s name, and, when she looks the congresswoman up, is not impressed by her intelligence or political platform.
Two detectives come to Crissy’s room to tell her that Yevgeny is dead. They knew to come to her room because Yevgeny had a key to her room on his body. They explain that Yevgeny was found at the bottom of a cliff at Red Rocks. The detectives ask if she had planned to go with Yevgeny on his hike, but she explains she was meeting with a reporter.
She tells them about their relationship, emphasizing that Yevgeny seemed “content.” She shows the detectives their text messages before realizing she does not want them to see any texts she wrote about Futurium and Congresswoman Schweiker. The detectives say they may want to see her phone again because Yevgeny’s phone was missing when they found him.
They ask if Crissy is aware of anyone who was mad at Yevgeny and may want to kill him, and she says she is unaware of anyone. The detectives collect Yevgeny’s belongings from the room and ask for the contact information of the reporter Crissy met with.
